Fasting diets work for weight-loss just as well as any other traditional caloric restriction diets — which is VERY POORLY.
Favourite thing about fall: Running outside. I love running -- it is my bliss! Running in the fall is particularly enjoyable; it is not too hot and not too cold! A few tips... A. You may feel cold at first, but you will warm up quickly. B. Experiment until you find your perfect running attire.... C. Get a jacket with pockets.
Seriously, it's a game-changer. This is all about cutting your daily caloric intake, while simultaneously optimizing your body's ability to burn fat. This can be done by way of a little daily caloric restriction.
They will go a long way towards giving you a lean, healthy physique. And they're surprisingly easy to follow. Try some of them (or all of them) and see for yourself.
The month of Ramadan has just begun for over a billion Muslims around the world; thirty days of fasting from sunrise to sunset. While it may sound harsh to some, as Muslims there is so much beauty in Ramadan and what it represents. When Muslims fast (in our case for almost 18 hours) it invigorates your other senses in many ways.

I look forward to Eid, but as Eid approaches, I start to miss Ramadan. Many of my Muslim friends share the same bittersweet feeling. I am not sure if I would feel the same bittersweet feeling if I was observing Ramadan on my own, or at least not to the same extent. A partner in crime is a must.
Fasting itself does not help those less fortunate. However, the person fasting has a heightened awareness of how it feels to be hungry and therefore how those less fortunate feel being hungry every day. Knowing is one thing, but experiencing is completely different.
Six years ago, I could not imagine the day my son would go into grade 1, let along imagine my son asking me if he can fast. Last week, he said to me: "I want to fast with you and dad. Please, please, please!" I was silent at first, not knowing how to tell him that there is no way I am letting him fast 17 hours.
