Even though the absence of the home team in the 102nd Grey Cup may disappoint fans in Vancouver, the city's mayor is still upbeat about the CFL championship game that takes place this weekend. It's an event that will entertain residents and visitors alike, mayor Gregor Robertson promised during a press conference on Wednesday.

Sex reared its head in a press conference featuring the Grey Cup's two coaches this week: "Hey, coach, should your players have sex before the big game?" Roughriders coach Corey Chamblin brought down the house with his response: "They win the championship, they'll have a lot of it. Trust me."
While many NFL fans might consider it bush league, CFL fans argue Canadian football provides a more interesting and quicker game. One thing cannot be denied -- CFL fans may be the most loyal fans in Canada. It's time to evaluate CFL fandemonium in the run up to the Grey Cup.
Recent Ipso Reid polls should be good news for Ontario Tory Leader Tim Hudak. Hudak and the Tories are at 37% of decided Ontario voters; Horwath's NDP at 29% and Wynne and the Liberals at 28%. This is real bad news for Premier Wynne and her band of less than merry Liberals. But these polls provide even better news to Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath.
