Michael Ignatieff

The Conservatives' anti-Ignatieff "Just Visiting" campaign was arguably the most effective political ad campaign in modern Canadian history. It is astonishing - it is beyond belief - that the once-great Conservative Party of Canada is now embracing Kevin O'Leary, another Boston resident. Another interloper. Another guy "just visiting."
As O'Leary or his campaign team commits another blunder by posting a video of him having fun at a shooting range just as the funerals for the Mosque victims in Quebec starts, sharks of every colour -- blue, red, orange and green -- should be circling around him.
Ignatieff had been the Conservative Party's favourite target.
If the Liberals wish to maintain the stance that using the term apartheid to describe Israeli state practices amounts to a form of Jew-hatred, then they should be aware that under that logic, they are labeling a lot of unlikely people as anti-Semites.
Israel is very relevant to Olivia Chow's candidacy because some of the major proponents of the "Israel as apartheid state" and the BDS movement are key supporters of Olivia Chow and with whom she is identified. It is now time for Ms. Chow to take responsibility for her silence.
New democracy is more about citizen activism than backroom shenanigans and pressing for transparency than secret dealings. It ultimately opts for cooperation over contention, public policy over punishing partisanship, and a sense of the integration of power over its ideology. So, can someone send the Old Boys' Club a memo?
