millionaires
Canada. It's the new Switzerland.
Canada now ranks fifth among countries with the most millionaires.
A common thing I've been hearing is that Toronto families don't make enough to support home prices at these levels. Bank executives, economists, fund managers and even real-estate agents have repeated this in the media - but they never offer any numbers.
There's been a lot of outrage over a new report that shows that Canada's wealthiest CEOs are paid 193 times more than the average Canadian. But there's an even darker side to the story. Ordinary taxpayers are subsidizing those multimillion-dollar salaries, courtesy of loopholes in our tax system.
There are more than a million millionaires in Canada today.
Think about how you feel about money vs. how wealthy people feel and if your belief system is serving you. If you currently have a positive belief system on money, ah-mazing. Keep it up! If you have a negative association with money, wouldn't it serve you better if your habits were one of a money maverick?
I want every millennial to grow up to be a millionaire! The scary thing is that a million dollars won't be that much money in 40 years. The idea of a millionaire, sitting in his wood paneled living room and smoking on his pipe with hounds at his feet is long over. Millionaires will be "thousandaires" by today's standards as everything gets more and more expensive.
