Motivational Speaker

Public speaking is linked to career success: It creates a perception that you're an expert in your field and it can be an opportunity to motivate people. I used to be terrified of speaking in public too, but was forced to overcome my fear so I could network with other entrepreneurs and promote my business.
I will admit, I was rather nervous. My speech wasn't until 3 p.m. My contact at Google came to the lobby to get me and almost immediately my nerves disappeared. We laughed, talked and it was very evident how much he appreciated me coming to share my story and inspire his team.
I had to be in the moment because my brain would not allow me to think ahead. As I was speaking, it terrified me. What if I would forget my next line? But it was a blessing. I was forced to be present, in that moment and think about the emotions in my story.
I could have just given up and accepted my fate but each time one door closed, I took a sledgehammer and built a whole new building. As long as I kept what was important to me from the beginning in mind, the possibilities of what would happen next would be left in my hands.

Here are my top 20 tips for living a better life.
