Premiering May 26th on Global is a new light-hearted Canadian detective series starring Jason Priestley and Cindy Sampson and called, bluntly enough, Private Eyes. It's a fairly generic light-hearted PI series. And I actually mean that as a compliment!
Aside from the cast and crew of the beloved six-season series, for many viewers the toughest character to say goodbye to won't be the GTO (though, admittedly, hearing the tires on Jake's car for the last time will be sad); rather, it's the city of St. John's, which has looked gorgeous in all its years, that might be missed most.
Canadian TV executives constantly cluck their tongues and ask, "How -- oh, how! -- can ratings be improved?!" You want to know how to improve Canadian TV? Make more #@$%&#! Canadian programs!!!! Period.
