
He's a 29-year-old Indian Police Services (IPS) officer but he's on the wrong side of the law this time.
Safeer Karim, a police officer with the Tamil Nadu cadre, was found allegedly cheating in a civil services exam. Ironically, he owns several coaching centres across the country for IAS (Indian Administrative Services) aspirants.
According to reports, Karim's wife Joicy Joy was dictating the answers to the exam questions to him over a bluetooth device. The assistant superintendent of police in Nanguneri was appearing for the civil service exams at a test centre in Egmore, Chennai.
He had already cleared the preliminary round of the examinations and was appearing for the second round when he was arrested. He had taken a cellphone and bluetooth headset inside the examination hall, said police.
