A 25-year-old woman was allegedly raped in Delhi by the driver of a taxi service on Friday on her way back from a party. Here is a brief timeline of how events unfolded, according to police sources.

7pm, Friday, December 5

The 25-year-old executive at a multinational corporation leaves her Gurgaon office to meet friends at Cyberhub, a pub in Gurgaon.

10 pm:

She leaves for a friend's place in Vasant Vihar in south Delhi. Uses Uber app to schedule a cab pick-up.

10.58 pm:

The Uber driver, Shiv Kumar Yadav, 32, picks her up in A Swift Dzire cab to take her to her home in north Delhi's Inderlok area.

Around 1 am:

The girl, who had dozed off in the car, wakes up to find Yadav molesting her, who then rapes and threatens to kill her if she spoke to the authorities.

1.10 am:

Yadav switches off his phone, but company doesn't try to get in touch with him or the girl.

1.25 am:

Yadav drops her near her home, and she takes a picture of his cab as he pulls away. She calls the police, who take her statement and get her medical help.

Cops book an Uber cab, go to their Gurgaon office.

8 am, Saturday, December 6:

Delhi Police reach the Uber office and ask for information on the driver's whereabouts and allegedly get no help until 11 am.

Cops track the abandoned Swift Dzire in Mathura.

12 teams in Uttar Pradesh are looking for the accused Uber driver.

6 pm, Sunday, December 7:

The driver is arrested in Mathura.
