A police investigation into an alleged conspiracy in which a privately-owned diagnostic lab and a COVID-19 hospital in Amritsar stand accused of colluding to declare healthy people coronavirus-positive has cast an uncomfortable light on the vagaries of India’s testing infrastructure for the novel coronavirus.

Airports Authority of India had earlier issued a notice saying flight operations at the airports will remain shut from 27 February to 27 May.
