Bombay High Court has said it will hear the plea on Friday at 3 pm.
The order to reinvestigate the case was given in May, before the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, after which the Republic TV chief lambasted the Mumbai Police and Maharashtra government.
The controversial journalist was detained in a 2018 case of abetment of suicide of an interior designer and is likely to be taken to Raigad district of Maharashtra.
The case was lodged against them by Bandra police here in September after receiving a complaint from Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.
