Opposition created a ruckus in the Parliament, shouting ‘we want an answer’ from Prime Minister.
"The Opposition need not bother about their numbers. I hope they speak actively and participate in House proceedings," PM said ahead of the 17th Lok Sabha session.
The Trinamool Congress supremo alleged that BJP has used money, “muscle”, institutions, media and the government to win the elections.
As many as 22 Opposition parties had demanded verification of VVPAT slips of randomly-selected polling stations before the counting of the votes.
If any discrepancy is found during VVPAT verification, they said 100 percent counting of the paper slips of VVPATs of all polling stations of that particular Assembly should be done.
The Election Commission has dismissed reports and allegations of EVMs being transported without security, but there is still plenty of chatter around the issue.
Sena also took a swipe at Chandrababu Naidu, saying he was unnecessarily exhausting himself as there was no guarantee of this “possible coalition” staying intact.
A bench of the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, will hear the petition on Friday.
“National security must transcend narrow political consideration,” a joint statement by the Opposition parties said.
The Prime Minister said the Opposition's world starts with hatred for Modi and ends by hurling abuses at Modi.
