President Donald Trump’s false declaration of victory on Wednesday, as ballot counting continued in several pivotal states, roiled supporters of Joe Biden.
The US president said he would go to the Supreme Court to declare him the winner, even though many battleground states have yet to release full results.
The powerful Republican survived a tough and well-funded challenge by Democrat Jaime Harrison.
Phil Scott told reporters, "I put country over party. It’s been a bit of a struggle for me, but I ended up voting for Joe Biden.”
Biden’s lead over Trump in Pennsylvania is now over 28,000 and in Georgia, he leads by a margin of 7,248 votes.

In his speech closing out the GOP convention, Trump said a vote for Joe Biden would be "the destroyer of American greatness."
