Bukhari, a veteran journalist and editor of 'Rising Kashmir', was shot dead by terrorists outside his office in June this year.

On Friday, six militants were killed by security forces in a gun battle in Anant Nag, including one accused of killing journalist Shujaat Bukhari.

One of the killers is said to be from Pakistan and the other two from Kashmir.

Identities of the three other gunmen were still being ascertained.
