La compagnie canadienne de télécommunications Telus abolira 1500 postes, une mesure qui, espère-t-elle, contribuera à réduire ses coûts annuels d'environ 125 millions $.

Le géant basé à Vancouver précise que ces abolitions de postes comprendront des départs volontaires et des retraites anticipées.

En faisant part de ses intentions, jeudi, Telus (TSX:T) rapporte aussi qu'en un an, son bénéfice net et son bénéfice net ajusté ont tous deux progressé d'environ 2,8 pour cent au 3e trimestre. Ses revenus ont quant à eux augmenté de 4,2 pour cent au cours de la même période.
