Abdullahi Alim

Global Shapers Lead, Africa and MENA, World Economic Forum

Abdullahi Alim works at the World Economic Forum where he helps manage the Global Shapers Community, a network of over 7000 young leaders who are exceptional in their potential and are driving change in their local cities. He is also the Deputy Chair at People against Violent Extremism, the first countering violent extremism NGO in Oceania. To his credit, he was presented with the prestigious Queen Elizabeth' Young Leaders Award at Buckingham Palace and was a finalist for the 2017 Australian of the Year Awards. Abdullahi arrived to Australia as a refugee from Somalia. As an alumni of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, he is passionate about creating a world where opportunity is as universal as talent. He provides frequent commentary on issues around race, refugee integration and radicalisation and is represented by ICMI Speakers and Entertainers, Australia's foremost agency for public commentators.
