Amy R. Beaudreault, PhD

Health, Communication & Partnership Consultant

Dr. Beaudreault is an independent consultant working on various projects focusing on program implementation/evaluation, science writing and communication, research, and proposal development across public health, nutrition and agriculture, and education. Formerly, she was the director of nutrition and health at the University of California, Davis’ World Food Center and currently maintains an affiliated research associate appointment in the UC Davis nutrition department. In addition, she was Associate Director at The Sackler Institute for Nutrition Science, a program at the New York Academy of Sciences; managed the Ohio State University Extension Agricultural and Safety Health Program; worked in communication at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH; and directed U.S. Department of Education and Nuclear Regulatory Commission federal contracts in Washington, DC. She has organized more than 25 international scientific conferences/workshops with organizations such as the World Bank Group, the World Food Prize, the World Health Organization, the American Society for Nutrition, the Nestlé Nutrition Institute, the Abbott Nutrition Health Institute, and the U.S. Department of Education. She holds a BS in Journalism from the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, and an MS in Agricultural Communication, a PhD in Agricultural Education and Extension, and a graduate certificate in survey research from The Ohio State University.
