Abeer Rashid

Abeer is a sophomore student at Simon Fraser University studying international studies and minoring in communications. He is interested in exploring a regime’s influence on one’s national identity, as a result of his being brought up in Tokyo, Japan, when he’s originally from Pakistan. Never fortunate enough to learn a lot about his own identity, he's witnessed and learnt about other’s identity while being brought up in international schools. That allows him to step into different worlds and think differently. Although he’s not studying people all the time. The other half of him is busy discovering new books (mostly the nice smelly ones) at relatively old dusty bookstores, trying out new foods, cooking, enjoying the wonderful sceneries that British Columbia has to offer, while posting it all on Instagram.
