Adam studied at Georgetown University, where he explored how institutional barriers and policies may develop at cross-cultural interfaces. Applying his interests in language, culture, and gender roles to this lens, his ethnographic approach and attraction to contradictions help to inspire parts of his narrative and editorial work. He is based in Brooklyn, N.Y., and works in freelance consulting capacities and writing, and is preparing for the December 2011 launch of a multimedia, literary platform for middle-grade readers.
