Adam Huebner

Health and Rehabilitation Coordinator, Handicap International

Adam Huebner is the Health and Rehabilitation Coordinator for Handicap International in Sierra Leone and Liberia. He has worked with the U.S. government as a public health preparedness coordinator, as a professor of medical anthropology, and as a technical advisor and program manager for a variety of NGO missions throughout Africa and Asia. He has supported projects focused on Ebola, HIV/AIDS, Guinea Worm Eradication and chronic health effects of Agent Orange use in Vietnam.

Mr. Huebner holds an undergraduate degree in cultural anthropology from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters of Public Health from the King's University (Chulalongkorn) in Bangkok, Thailand. He is a former U.S. Peace Corps volunteer, having served in the Ivory Coast from 2000-2002. He has since developed an insatiable interest in serving as a guest lecturer of health and humanities at universities and schools where ever he may be found.
