Adelia Moore is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Manhattan, specializing in relationships and families. link She came to New York from Hartford, Connecticut, where she was also in private practice, and worked for ten years with homeless families, and at the former Newington Children's Hospital. She is working on a book tentatively called "The Natural Authority of Parents." She holds a B. A. in English from Harvard, a Masters in Child Development from the University of Pittsburgh, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Cincinnati. She recently published an essay in the Christian Science Monitor called "Tea with Jerry" about meeting J.D. Salinger.
