Social entrepreneur, strategist, athlete/coach, dreamer

As a member of Purpose’s strategy and marketing teams, Adrienne combines her past experience working in social innovation, nonprofit management, business development, and branding/marketing.

At Purpose Adrienne helps to shape the organization’s external voice and collaboration with the larger social good community through content marketing, Purpose events, and thought leadership/activation at external conferences such as SXSW and Netroots Nation.

Before joining Purpose, Adrienne co-founded Akimbo, a software company that develops tools and resources to support populations facing significant barriers to employment. Her ability to discover potential in unexpected places and her belief that pursuing one’s dreams and obtaining dignified work is a fundamental human right inspired her to start Akimbo.

Previously, she worked for Let All the Children Play, a nonprofit organization that leverages sports and play to build more inclusive communities for youth with disabilities. She began her career working in Global Business Development for the National Basketball Association (NBA), where she secured corporate sponsorships to support NBA Cares programming.

Adrienne received her Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from The New School. She holds her Bachelor of Science in Sports and Entertainment Marketing from New York University, where she played on the Women's Basketball Team. In her free time, Adrienne enjoys running, surfing, and coaching basketball.
