Afaa Michael Weaver

Afaa Michael Weaver is Alumnae Professor of English at Simmons College. A poet, playwright, essayist and translator, he is the author of 12 collections of poetry, most recently The Government of Nature. The recipient of two Pushcart prizes, an appointment as a Fulbright Scholar to Taiwan and fellowships in poetry from the NEA and Pew foundation, his work focuses on family, history, spirituality and cross-cultural communication.
