Anthony Figliola

Policy Expert and Author focusing on strengthening America's economy.

Anthony Figliola serves as the Vice President of Empire Government Strategies, an economic development and public affairs business in New York State, where he has secured more than $800 million in government incentives for businesses and local governments. As a former Deputy Supervisor for one of the nation’s largest suburban municipalities, he was a part of the management team that oversaw 2,000 employees. During his almost two decade career, Anthony has assisted dozens of business, non-profits and local governments in accessing over $800 million in capital incentives, which has led to the creation and retention of over 10,000 jobs and more than $2.5 billion in private capital investments. He is the co-author of the book titled "Patronage, Waste and Favoritism - A Dark History of Constitutional Conventions." He also co-authored a report titled Tax Amnesty – Past Successes, Failures and New Opportunities, which identified over $2 billion in unpaid taxes and fees owed to the State of New York. Anthony received his B.A. in Political Science and M.A. in Public Policy from Stony Brook University, where he was a member of the Alumni Association Board. He has written articles on a variety of political, sports and human-interest topics for media outlets such as The Huffington Post, New York Post, Daily News, San Francisco Chronicle, Newsday, Providence Journal, Metro NY, Buffalo News and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
