Afsoon Houshidari arrived in Canada as a child refugee, after she and her family fled the persecution of Baha'is in Iran in the 1980s. Afsoon is passionate about cross-cultural integration and migration issues, and has shared her story as a speaker and storyteller with audiences across the world, including at the UNHCR in Geneva. Afsoon works as a lawyer for Canada's Department of Justice, where she specializes in refugee, immigration and human rights law.
