Ahmad El Assaad

Founder of the Lebanese Option Party and Saving the Next Generation

Ahmad El Assaad is an outspoken Lebanese Leader against Hezbollah and its Iranian agenda. He is the Head of the Lebanese Option Party or LOP, a Lebanese Secular Party.

LOP had a list of Contenders in the 2005 and 2009 Parliamentary Elections in the South of Lebanon as well as in the Bekaa Valley. And despite all the various violent attacks of Hezbollah on him and on his supporters, Ahmad El Assaad was still able to get 30% of the votes in this 2009 election in his home district of Marjeyoun in the South of Lebanon.

LOP’s platform is more in line with the Western Oriented “March 14” Alliance. However the Lebanese Option Party is not an official part of this “March 14” group. LOP keeps an independent Secular Status, because El Assaad believes that the numerous concessions made by “March 14” to Hezbollah from 2005 till today are the main reasons why the regime in Tehran still holds Lebanon in its grip.
