Annette Insdorf is Professor in the Film Program of Columbia University’s School of the Arts. She is the author of "Double Lives, Second Chances: The Cinema of Krzysztof Kieslowski"; "Francois Truffaut," a study of the French director's work; "Philip Kaufman," and the landmark study, "Indelible Shadows: Film and the Holocaust" (with a foreword by Elie Wiesel). Her commentaries can be heard on many DVDs, and she has interviewed over 200 film celebrities in her popular "Reel Pieces" series at Manhattan's 92nd Street Y. She has been a juror at film festivals including Berlin, Galway, Locarno and Jerusalem, and is the panel moderator at the annual Telluride Film Festival.
