Columbia University Film Professor; Moderator “Reel Pieces,” 92Y; and author of books including “Indelible Shadows: Film and the Holocaust”

Annette Insdorf is​ Professor in the Film Program of Columbia University’s School of the Arts. She is the author of "Double Lives, Second Chances: The Cinema of Krzysztof Kieslowski"; "Francois Truffaut," a study of the French director's work; "Philip Kaufman," and the landmark study, "Indelible Shadows: Film and the Holocaust" (with a foreword by Elie Wiesel). Her commentaries can be heard on many DVDs, and she has interviewed over ​200​ film celebrities in her popular "Reel Pieces" series at Manhattan's 92nd Street Y. She has been a juror at film festivals including Berlin, Galway, Locarno and Jerusalem, and is the panel moderator at the annual Telluride Film Festival.
