Backpack block party!
Al Baio is a painter living and working in New York City. When she's not in the studio painting technicolor toddlers (www.albaio.com), you can find her running down the street with her camera in pursuit of backpacks for her blog: http://backpackblockparty.tumblr.com/. She never leaves home without her pack strapped to her back, and she tips her hat to those who embrace the same "effortless Atlas" approach to life. She is also deeply passionate about poodles, lederhosen and yellow tights.

Boston in 2008.
