Alana Carvalho is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Addiction Recovery Specialist, and Educator working in private practice in New York City. She obtained her Master of Arts and Master of Education from Columbia University, Teachers College and Bachelor of Arts from The George Washington University. Prior to starting her own private practice in 2013, Alana worked for several years in a low income community helping those with mental health and substance abuse issues. Alana has served as a speaker and lecturer in the mental health field as well as the director of an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility.
