Alberto Rangel

High school student in Chicago and Minds Matter participant

Alberto Rangel was born in Tijuana and later moved to San Diego with his family. Later on, they moved again to the Windy City, Chicago, where he is now a senior at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. He has been on his school’s cross-country team for four years and likes to read—for some reason, mostly revenge-themed stories, such as The Count of Monte Cristo, The Phantom of the Opera, and Sweeney Todd. Alberto plans to obtain a doctorate in sociology or criminal justice and work as a criminologist.
