Brazilian Minister of Sports

Minister Rebelo was born in Viçosa (AL) on February 23rd, 1956. He leads of the Ministry responsible for the 2014 World Cup, 2016 Olympics and Paralympics in Brazil. Rebelo's is a journalist and a congressman, elected six times by the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo. With over 30 years in public service, Aldo Rebelo served as the head of the Brazilian Soccer Confederation/Nike Parliamentary Commission and Political Coordinating Minister under President Lula. He also served as Speaker of the House from 2005 - 2007. Mr. Rebelo was appointed to the office of Minister of Sport in October 31st, 2011.
