Alex Cheser

Food studies graduate student, Kentucky born and breaded, queer

Alex Cheser is currently a graduate student in gastronomy/food studies at Boston University. Alex moseyed his way up to Boston after getting a psychology degree from Transylvania University (real school, no vampires) in his home state of Kentucky. Alex came out in high school but probably should have figured it out after the Spice Girls Barbies years before. After a hearty liberal arts education, Alex maintains interests in queer issues and politics, politics in general, feminism and gender, intersectional identities, race and class, and fat/body issues and politics as he's too curvy to be straight. A semester abroad in Norway ignited what's likely to be a lifelong dose of Scandiphilia as well. Despite being pronounced differently, Alex loves cheese just as much as his surname would indicate.
