Alexander Riedl

Alexander Riedl is deputy head of the "Knowledge Base" unit in the European Commission’s Directorate - General Communications Networks, Content and Technology. One of his current projects is the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs, a multi-stakeholder initiative tackling the mismatch between supply and demand of skilled workers in Europe’s digital economy. A trained economist, he worked in the private sector (media and telecommunications companies) before joining the European Commission in 2004. Prior to his current job, he worked in competition enforcement and scientific advice to policymaking.
