18-year-old participant in Global Citizen Year
Originally from a small town in Guyana, Alexis now lives in Columbia, Maryland, where she has become deeply involved in her community. Alexis serves as the president of Delta Scholars, a program promoting leadership, scholarship, community service, and humility among minority females, and as the president of the class of 2011 at her high school. One of her proudest moments was being elected the student member of the board of education of her county.
