Ali Berlow

Ali Berlow is the author of 'The Mobile Poultry Slaughterhouse: Building a Humane Chicken Processing Unit to Strengthen Your Local Food System. Foreword by Temple Grandin, Storey Publishing. She is the co-owner and former editor of Edible Vineyard, founder and former executive director of Island Grown Initiative got her start in food writing at WCAI and WNAN the Cape & Islands NPR stations with her weekly essay segment 'A Cook's Notebook'. She has contributed to Acres-USA magazine and presented at Mother Earth News Fairs. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, she and her husband Sam live, work and cook on the island of Martha’s Vineyard and in Southern Vermont.
