Ali Fitzgerald

Ali Fitzgerald is a Berlin-based artist and comics writer whose work has been featured in the New York Times, Art in America, Artlies!, and Sugarhigh Berlin. She writes regularly for the PBS blog Art:21 and keeps an illustrated diary of her less than illustrious adventures around Berlin.

Her comic series for the Huffington Post catalogs the awkwardness of cultural haggling from the standpoint of an impoverished dilettante. When not plodding around her own hinterland, Ali enjoys riding her bike to the Soviet Memorial and watching Werner Herzog movies ten years after everyone else saw them.
