Allen Dickerson

First Amendment and political law attorney.

Allen Dickerson is a constitutional and political law attorney based in Washington, DC. As legal director of the Center for Competitive Politics, he leads a nationwide litigation practice emphasizing the First Amendment's protections for free speech, assembly, and petition. He has represented individuals and organizations at all levels of the federal judiciary and before the supreme courts of Colorado and Nevada.

Dickerson is a frequent speaker on First Amendment, campaign finance, and regulatory matters. He has testified before Congress and state legislatures, and regularly comments on actions of the FEC, IRS, SEC, and other federal agencies. His writing has appeared in the Harvard Business Law Review, Naval Law Review, Toledo Law Review, Campaigns & Elections, and USA Today, among other publications.

Previously, Dickerson was a litigation associate in New York City. He is a graduate of Yale College and New York University School of Law.
