Amity P. Buxton, co-author of the recently released Unseen-Unheard: Journey of Straight Spouses, is the founder of the Straight Spouse Network. Formerly a leader in teacher education for desegregating, multiethnic schools and currently a member of the American Psychological Association and Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, she studies, lectures, and writes about spouses and children in mixed-orientation or trans/nontransgender marriages, and also counsels spouses in such marriages.
