Director of Global Advocacy at Family Care International (FCI)

Amy Boldosser-Boesch is Director of Global Advocacy at Family Care International (FCI), a non-governmental organization dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safer worldwide. Amy is responsible for designing and implementing advocacy strategies to generate increased political and financial commitments for reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health from the U.S. government; other national governments, including both donor and developing country; and the United Nations. Amy also works closely with FCI’s regional programs in Latin America and the Caribbean, Anglophone and Francophone Africa in implementing national and regional advocacy strategies. Amy has extensive experience in both global and domestic health policy advocacy with a particular focus on women’s and adolescent health and rights. Prior to joining FCI, she was Director of Local Advocacy Initiatives at the National Institute for Reproductive Health where she directed U.S. advocacy & coordinated the Urban Initiative for Reproductive Health, a national initiative to create pro-active urban reproductive health policy solutions. Amy has also worked with Public Health Solutions, the International Organization for Adolescents and the Rockefeller Foundation and has served as a consultant on projects focused on adolescent sexual and reproductive health, peer education programs, HIV care services and assessment of gender policies. She holds a Master of International Affairs with a concentration in Human Rights from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Romance Languages (Spanish and French) and Politics from New York University. Amy enjoys traveling with her husband and, along with her mom, is an aspiring tap dancer. She lives in New York City.
