Amy Lieberman is a journalist from New York City whose coverage on immigration, health and human rights has appeared in a range of news outlets, including The Atlantic and The Christian Science Monitor. She has reported from the United Nations Headquarters in addition to eight countries, including Colombia, Mexico, Nepal and Cambodia. Her investigative coverage on immigration detention centers and the migration of transgender women was supported by the Fund for Investigative Journalism in 2013. She graduated in May 2014 from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism with a master of arts degree in politics and government journalism.
