Amy Spencer is the author of "Bright Side Up: 100 Ways to Be Happier Right Now" (Perigee, 2012), an "emergency optimism" guide for every day life: When you lose your wallet, your relationship ends, you gain ten pounds or you're stuck in traffic, these are ways to look at life from a more positive perspective. She will also be releasing the companion iPhone and iPad app, "Bright Side App," at the same time, for positivity in your pocket. Amy also wrote "Meeting Your Half-Orange: An Utterly Upbeat Guide to Using Dating Optimism to Find Your Perfect Match"(Running Press, 2010). She was an editor at Glamour, Maxim and Star magazines for ten years, and has since written features and cover interviews for publications including Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, Redbook, Health, and others. She has appeared as an expert on NBC, CBS, VH1 and Fox News, used to host a call-in relationship radio show on Sirius, and created, where she provides regular doses of life and love positivity.
