Ana Guerrero

Ana Guerrero serves as Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Chief of Staff and directs all functions of the Office of the Mayor. In addition to Ana's work at the helm of Mayor Garcetti's "Back to Basics" agenda, she is a primary driver of the Administration's work to advance gender and social equity.

Prior to joining Eric Garcetti's staff, she worked as a community organizer in both rural and urban communities. In Sonoma County, she organized an affordable housing campaign that led to the development of hundreds of affordable units for low and middle income families.

Guerrero’s personal experiences with poverty -- as an immigrant from Mexico and as a young single mother on public assistance -- influence her work every day and fuel her firm belief that government and civic activism can create pathways to opportunity for those willing to work hard and dream big.
