Oscar-nominated Documentary Filmmaker, UNICEF Board Member and Co-founder of the XX Fund

Andrea Blaugrund Nevins was born and raised in New York City. After majoring in Social Studies at Harvard University, where she took a variety of visual arts classes, she pursued a career in journalism, working with NPR’s All Things Considered, the New York Times, and directing and producing several award- winning hour-long programs for ABC News, A&E, NBC, and Lifetime.
She is the producer of Academy Award-nominated documentary short “Still Kicking” and director and writer of the feature doc "The Other F Word," HBO's "State of Play: Happiness", and Showtime's "Play It Forward" She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, David Nevins, and their three children, Clara, Charlie, and Jesse.
