Andrew Lerner

Director of Policy and Research, Smarter Campaigns LLC

Andrew Lerner currently work as Director of Policy and Research for Smarter Campaigns LLC, a consulting firm located in the Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. However, views expressed in this blog are his own, and are not related in any way to Smarter Campaigns LLC. In addition to his work at Smarter Campaigns, Andrew is currently on the Board of Directors at a non-profit, 501(c) organization called Sports Teaching and Reaching Students (STARS). STARS is dedicated to improving access to essential athletic equipment and operational resources for underprivileged middle and high school children.

Prior to joining Smarter Campaigns, Andrew worked on high-profile litigation as a member of Pepper Hamilton LLP’s Health Effects Litigation Department, where his work focused primarily on large clinical trials, the pharmaceutical industry, and FDA regulations and proceedings. He has also worked at the National Program Office for Public Health Law Research, where he was involved in the production of a number of works that have become published studies.

Andrew is originally from Merion, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from the Episcopal Academy. He attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut until his graduation (a special thanks to Governor Hickenlooper for delivering such a knock-out commencement speech!) His senior research at Wesleyan was conducted into the historical evolution of patient satisfaction measurement, a performance-based metric being integrated into pay-for-performance reimbursement schemes in healthcare.
