Andrew Tobias is the author of 12 books, including THE ONLY INVESTMENT GUIDE YOU'LL EVER NEED and THE BEST LITTLE BOY IN THE WORLD.

Over the years he has been a frequent contributor to NEW YORK, ESQUIRE, TIME and PARADE, among others. His computer software, MANAGING YOUR MONEY, helped hundreds of thousands take control of their finances in the early days of personal computing.

His "crusades," chronicled in a book subtitled "The Adventures of a Quixotic Capitalist," have included a series of anti-tobacco commercials broadcast throughout the former Soviet Union and the placement of an auto-insurance reform measure on the 1996 California ballot.

He has posted more than 4,000 daily comments at andrewtobias.com ("About fifty of them are really good," he says, "but I forgot to flag them, so they're hard to find.") and co-hosted the PBS series BEYOND WALL STREET with Jane Bryant Quinn.

Tobias is a graduate of Harvard College, where he ran the student business enterprise, and Harvard Business School.

Since 1999 he has served as treasurer of the Democratic National Committee.
