Dr. Andrew Bard Schmookler is an award-winning author, political commentator, talk radio philosopher, and teacher. He was the Democratic nominee for Congress from Virginia's 6th District in 2012.

He graduated from Harvard, summa cum laude, in 1967, and he received his doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley and the Graduate Theological Union in a program specially created to accommodate his original theory of the evolution of civilization
