Angela Simms is a sociology doctoral candidate at the University of Pennsylvania and will be an assistant professor at Barnard College-Columbia University this fall. She examines how markets and governments shape racial inequality. Prior to UPenn, Simms was a Presidential Management Fellow at the Office of Management and Budget. She holds a public policy master's degree and a bachelor’s in government.
