Anna graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000, with a bachelor’s degree in the life cycle of cacti. Because there is no actual career for a person with that degree, Anna did the obvious thing: enrolled in law school. Anna graduated from Columbia Law School in 2004, this time without honors. As an attorney, Anna represented and counseled clients on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: how to be neurotic, when to use "your" versus "you're," and how to dispute an invoice. After practicing law for 11 years, Anna decided to turn her back on the supportive, nurturing environment of the legal world and pursue her passion for humor writing. In her spare time, Anna eats way too much sugar, finds a million and one ways to be indecisive and ardently supports vegan causes. She also loves a good cheeseburger. Ok, not all of that is true. Anna did graduate magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania (“.01 away from summa!” as her mother likes to remind her; “What, you couldn’t do an extra credit assignment?”), but with a bachelor’s degree in English. She graduated from Columbia Law School in 2004 and practiced law for 11 years. Humor writing had always been a passion of hers and finally, after having children and deciding to leave the law, she felt that it was the right time to pursue this passion.
