Anndee Hochman

Anndee Hochman is a Philadelphia-based freelance writer and teaching artist.

Anndee Hochman writes the weekly "Parent Trip" column for The Philadelphia Inquirer. Her personal and political essays appear regularly in Purple Clover, Broad Street Review and on Newsworks (WHYY public radio). She is also a teaching artist, guiding children, teens and adults to find their voices in poetry and prose. Hochman is the author of Anatomies: A Novella and Stories (2000) and Everyday Acts & Small Subversions: Women Reinventing Family, Community and Home. She has been a theater critic, a book reviewer, a VISTA volunteer and a bartender.
