Transgender blogger and activist
Annika Penelope is a California-based transgender blogger and activist. Since April 2011 she has written for Autostraddle, a queer women’s website, about her experiences with transitioning and other issues facing the transgender community. She has organized workshops on gender identity and expression, participated in panels on coming out and LGBTQ youth, and collaborated with a number of prominent trans* activists on other projects.
