Anthea Raymond

A native Angeleno, Anthea Raymond first became active in Los Angeles River issues in 2010, as she blogged in the Huffington Post. Supervisor Sheila Kuehl appointed her to the Los Angeles County Beach Commission in 2015. An award-winning journalist, she has also held staff roles at major media companies, including National Public Radio and Bloomberg. As an academic, Anthea taught media at Hunter College, UCLA, USC and Santa Monica College. She ran UCLA's Center for Arts and Entertainment Management for almost half a decade. Anthea graduated from Wellesley College with high honors and has a J.D. and M.B.A. from UCLA.
